Space Environment Summary

During the past 24 hours, solar activity was low. Two active sunspot regions were on the visble disk without any M-class or above flares produced. The solar wind speed decreased to about 500 km/s. The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit maintained at minor storm levels.

Space Environment Forecast

Within the next three days, solar activity is expected to be moderate with a chance for M-class and above flares. The geomagnetic field is expected to be mainly at quiet and unsettled levels with isolated active levels on 2-3 Nov due to the effects of two coronal hole high speed streams. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit will maintain at minor storm levels.
