During the past 24 hours, solar activity was low. There were 3 active sunspot regions on the visble disk without M-class and above flares produced. The solar wind speed decreased to about 450 km/s, the geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Space Environment Forecast

Within the next three days, solar activity is expected to be low to moderate with chances for M-class flares. Due to the effects of the recurrent coronal hole high speed stream and the CME from 16 Feb, the geomagnetic field is expected to reach isolated active levels on 19 Feb and mainly quiet to unsettled for the rest of time. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit will reach minor storm level on 18-21 Feb.
